Building Bridges, Empowering Youth, Strengthening Community.

The San Juan Police Activities League (PAL) is a community-based organization that works in partnership with the San Juan Police Department to provide constructive activities for the city’s youth. By fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and the community, PAL aims to empower children and teens through mentorship, athletic events, and educational initiatives. Its mission is to build trust, reduce juvenile delinquency, and inspire young residents to achieve their fullest potential in a safe, supportive environment.

Community Impact

The San Juan Police Activities League has a lasting impact on the community, offering safe and enriching opportunities for young residents while building trust between law enforcement and families. PAL’s annual events not only provide resources and fun but also foster a sense of unity and pride within San Juan.

The San Juan Police Activities League organizes and participates in several annual events, including:

Golden Gloves

A highlight of the year, this event provides a platform for children and teens to showcase their boxing skills in a safe, competitive environment. Participants gain discipline, confidence, and physical fitness while forging positive connections with mentors and peers.

Shop With A First Responder

During the Christmas season, PAL collaborates with the San Juan Police Department and other first responders to bring holiday cheer to underprivileged children. Kids are invited to shop for gifts alongside police officers and firefighters, fostering bonds of trust and compassion.

National Night Out

As part of the city-wide National Night Out event, PAL plays a key role in distributing backpacks filled with school supplies to local students. This event promotes safety, community camaraderie, and readiness for the school year.
