Juan Tijerina

As a member of the City of San Juan’s I.T. team for over 5 years, Juan Tijerina plays a vital role in managing the city’s digital presence, overseeing websites for the City, Police Department, Library, and EDC. In addition to maintaining these essential platforms, he manages A/V equipment setups for special events and meetings and uses his certification as an FAA drone pilot to capture aerial footage for promotional videos. Juan’s expertise extends beyond technology; as an adjunct professor at South Texas College, he mentors students and brings that same leadership to city staff, cultivating technical growth and collaboration. Whether troubleshooting software, safeguarding cybersecurity, or staying ahead of emerging technology, Juan ensures seamless operations that keep San Juan connected and thriving.
